Unexpected layoffs now hit Pennsylvania going into 2025 as more business file WARN notices advising of upcoming job cuts in the state.

It’s important to understand that under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, an employer with more than 100 full-time workers must provide a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more people at a single site.

The most recent layoffs in Pennsylvania are beginning this month of December and stretching out all the way to January of 2025.

Our hopes are that our publications allow families to identify unprecedented company layoff news to prepare for the changes ahead of time.

Below is a new list of businesses who have filed WARN notices with the state of Maryland, warning of upcoming layoffs this year going into 2025:

  • DAS Companies, Inc. 100 job cuts by 12/31.
  • BVPV Styrenics, LLC. 140 job cuts between 1/3/2025 – 1/31/2026.
  • The Giant Company, LLC. 61 job cuts by 12/28.
  • Citizens Bank – TBD
  • Boeing Company, 101 job cuts by 1/17/2025.
  • Tyson Foods, 110 job cuts by 1/31.
